I am touched and highly inspired by how many school children study in adverse situations with limited resources but they still dream high. The children we met were excited, well-behaved and took the initiative to work with us. It was good to see their co-operation and their attitude; they seemed to have no complaints and were always smiling. I am inspired to do my bit for the community and under-privileged people.

Our students performed exceedingly well in the 2011 GCSE and IGCSE examinations. In England and Wales, the most common measure used in considering a school’s success is the percentage of students achieving at least five higher (A*-C) grades. Because we welcome students with moderate learning difficulties, some of a cognitive nature, I do not expect all students to achieve this benchmark. However, as you may see from
the table below, almost all students do achieve this number of higher grades.

Overwhelmingly, our examinations are IGCSEs with the Cambridge Board (CIE). Statistically, it is more difficult to achieve A*-A grades at IGCSE than in the GCSE and there is less emphasis on coursework. The percentage of entries securing A* or A is therefore very pleasing.

We take Spanish, French, German and Drama at GCSE with Edexcel (London).

The results are very pleasing indeed, and they provide each student with a foundation for the IB programme, a definite step up in conceptual challenge as well as in the amount of work required of the students.
