Welcome to The British School admissions page!

The British School is an independent, not-for-profit, international school providing the finest of British and international education for 3-18 year olds. The school is accredited by the Council of International Schools (CIS). We offer high quality education based on the National Curriculum of England, IGCSE and the IB Diploma Programme. The students, who are from over 55 nationalities, graduate to leading universities/colleges world-wide.

The British School has a constitutional link with The British High Commission. The High Commissioner is President of The British School Society and all parents are members. Parents are very involved in the life of the school and its governance.

1.   48 years of teaching tradition. The school will soon be celebrating its Golden Jubilee in the year 2013.
2.   700 students from over 55 different nationalities, making our school the vibrant, truly international and       inspirational place that it is.
3.   Six acre campus in the heart of the diplomatic enclave in Delhi with several sports and other facilities       providing an excellent educational environment.
4.   More than 110 qualified teachers for 700 students, a student to teacher ratio almost as low as 1:6.
5.   Number of children in a class group –
          a.  22, in the primary school with supervision from 2 qualified teachers at all points in time.
          b.  20 in the secondary school.
6.   70% of the student body is international and 30% holds an Indian passport.
7.   The school provides the best of British and International education to children from over 55 different       countries speaking 28 different languages.

Admissions to the current academic year (August 2011 – May 2012)
The admissions process for the current academic year is over. We are accepting applications for certain age / year groups only. Please get in touch with the admissions team for details.

Admissions to the next academic year (August 2012 – May 2013)
We have started  accepting admission applications for the year 2012-13 from 1st November 2011. All interested families are welcome to apply for admissions to The British School. Applications can be made in person or through
e-mail. Applications are accepted at the school from 8 am to 1 pm from Monday to Friday.

Please note that all applications will become a part of the waiting list for the year group applied for in adherence with the admissions policy of The British School. Assessments are likely to begin in March 2012 and the complete admissions process for the academic rear starting August 2012 is likely to get over before 30th May 2012.

Admissions to Nursery and Primary School: for children aged between 3 and 10 years.
