The British School is seeking to appoint an experienced IB Coordinator to lead and administer the Diploma programme, for the academic year commencing August 2012. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing and monitoring the progress of the programme including its core elements- the extended essay, CAS and TOK. A thorough knowledge and understanding of the requirements of the IBDP, an ability to lead a team of talented faculty and build on a strong , existing programme will be key pre-requisites. As a member of the secondary school leadership team, she/he will work closely with curriculum leaders, Key Stage coordinators and College Counsellors to support students and teachers to maximise students’ attainment. Quality assurance of teaching and learning in the IB years, providing pedagogical leadership to the IBDP and promoting the IB ethos will be critical elements of the role. The ideal candidate will be a proven high quality teacher and leader, a post graduate with at-least five years of IB Diploma teaching experience, and, ideally should have held a position of similar responsibility.
