Meal Plan Programme
The school has an optional meal plan programme and hot lunches are served during the main break. The meal plan programme is open to students from Years 1 to 13. While the programme is optional, it is recommended for hot lunches, which are balanced and nutritious. The meals provision is outsourced to a catering company called ‘Bon Appetit’ and operated by Mr. Raymond Wasser and his team.
The meal plan provision was started in 2005 when the school day was extended by an hour, to offer a convenient and ‘’value for money’’ alternative to packed lunches or kiosk snacks. By offering a variety of choices, it facilitates healthy eating options and reinforces healthy eating messages provided in the classroom. For students who opt for the meal plan, it provides an essential regular midday meal which is so important in these growing years. This is especially relevant for many Secondary School students who omit breakfast most mornings.
The menus are reviewed every term and contain a variety of cuisines using the freshest seasonal ingredients. Students are involved in the selection and design of menus through the Meal Plan Committee. This Committee currently includes the Nurse Supervisor, the caterer, two teachers (primary and secondary), the Communications Officer, two secondary students and one primary student. Menus are developed for one month at a time with details then posted in the intranet.

All students opting for the meal plan need to fill up a meal plan form at the beginning of the year or whenever they join. They are then carried over throughout the terms and the next year until they wish to withdraw and give an intimation in writing.
School lunch arrangements are always supervised by staff. Staff is encouraged to eat alongside students.
Please keep in mind while subscribing to this programme for your child, that due to limited facilities on the campus we cannot cater to any allergies that students may have. It is entirely the responsibility of parents if their child has allergies and subscribes to the meal plan.
