Nurse and Health Centre
The Primary and Secondary Schools have well equipped Health rooms, which are staffed by three fully qualified nurses.
They are available during school hours to administer first aid and basic nursing care to any students injured or becoming unwell during the school day. They also undertake height, weight and basic visual acuity tests on an annual basis.
The Health rooms carry emergency resuscitation equipment for use in case of a life threatening illness and the school has instant access to The Primus Hospital located two minutes from the school for emergency care and treatment if required. In addition to our three fully trained nursing staff, over eighty members of our teaching and administration staff are trained in First Aid and Emergency resuscitation.
On admission to the school all students are asked to complete a health form and to undergo a basic health check. We ask parents to update this health information and any emergency contact numbers on an annual basis. The Health room staff actively encourages healthy living and offer regular health updates in the weekly bulletin.
