Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) is an integral part of the curriculum and is followed by all students. Students are given plenty of opportunities to develop confidence and transferable and leadership skills through activities like IAYP, Round Square, MUNA, World Scholars Cup and the Key Stage 3 Co-council.
The Student Support Services offers support and guidance to students through access to a school counsellor, the facilities of the SEN and EAL departments and a University Guidance Counsellor. To ensure that students fulfil their potential, there is a support programme in place that tracks student progress through the school year. In Year 9, each student, along with parents, attends a meeting with the Key Stage 4 Co-ordinator and the counsellor to discuss the best pathway for subject options.
