Having worked as a teacher’s assistant in other jobs and internships, I really appreciated the faith and confidence that the British School had in the interns allowing us full control in many of the classrooms. I was encouraged not only to develop lesson plans on my own, but was also asked to teach subjects that were not in the curriculum, but were of personal interest, such as film.

The protection of each child as well as the personal, emotional and physical development of each individual is of utmost lovika_jainimportance to us. The British School offers counselling as part of the pastoral support where students have the opportunity to explore, discover and clarify ways of living more resourcefully and towards a greater wellbeing.

The Secondary School Counsellor, Lovika Jain works closely with students, parents, teachers, and external agencies with the goal of achieving the maximum success and support for each student.

Students are encouraged to use the counselling support service through the drop-in sessions and self referral process. Parents may make an appointment to see the Counsellor by email at l.jain@british-school.org or phone. The office is located on the second floor in the Secondary Building.
