After obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Pure Sciences and Special Education from India, Sujatha worked for students with learning difficulties In New Delhi. In 1997, she took a break and continued further studies in Special Education from the University of Adelaide, South Australia. She enjoyed being a student again after 5 years of married life. After returning from Adelaide, she continues to work in the field of special education in various capacities as a teacher, teacher trainer, Special Needs Coordinator. Apart from teaching in India she has taught in Singapore and USA and enjoys teaching students with individual needs and her work in The British School.

Her role at the school focuses on preparing Secondary School students for entrance to colleges and universities in a range of countries including the UK, the USA, Canada, Australia, Singapore, Switzerland and India. In addition to working with The British School, she is the University Liaison officer, South Asia for the IB Asia Pacific, where her primary role is to act as a liaison with Universities on developing clear recognition policies for admitting IB students.
