2023 – A year for reflection and future gazing. A celebration of several firsts, many triumphs and noteworthy milestones.
What began in 1963 with 30 students from five nationalities is now a thriving community of 1,300 students from over 60 nationalities with many successful alumni spread across the globe. Indeed, the 60th year of TBS is a proud moment in its rich history!
The Diamond Jubilee celebrations commenced with our much loved signature event, International Day. The TBS community came together to celebrate this momentous occasion through a fun-filled day featuring cultural activities, parade of the nations, world cuisines, student performances, music, dancing and more. Have a look at this video to catch a glimpse of the day.
We unveiled a bronze sculpture, The Learner, to celebrate 60 years of TBS championing education and learning. Internationally renowned sculptor K S Radhakrishnan worked with our students as they researched the possibilities that encompass art in public spaces and devised their own model of the sculpture. The Learner celebrates the joy of the learner in us with the flight of imagination and the world of possibilities opening up.
We celebrated the myriad talents of our students all through the month of September. The TBS community delighted in enthralling performances by our students in music, dance, oration and more.
The Diamond Jubilee Celebrations were in full swing with a Formal Reception that was held to mark this momentous year. It was an evening full of fun and frolic with friends of the school.
The celebrations continued with a fun-filled event that ignited house spirit like never before. The day brought students, parents, alumni and staff together to indulge in some healthy competition over games and bond over conversations. An absolutely memorable day for everyone involved.
Two students meet a mystical storyteller and set out on an expedition to find the most magical place on earth! We ran two full-house shows of this whole school production that took us on a magical journey through time. It was a visual treat full of wit, humour, fun and fantasy.
The celebrations culminated in style at the Garden Party held at the British High Commissioner's residence. The grand finale marked the end of our 60th year as our community grows stronger and our legacy continues.
